Contact Information

NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

When You See Your Road On the Storm Team Radar Display, It Isn't Good.

Blown-In Insulation, Blown Out

I've learned a valuable lesson - when they say "go to your basement," you should go to your basement.  The Fortress of Solitude survived a not-quite direct hit, and what passed for a lawn is now shingled, so no more mowing.  It appears that the entire house shifted maybe half an inch or so on it's foundation, of course, this a couple months after having a lot of foundation work done.  I'd also like back every hour of my life I've spent trimming my trees, because essentially they are all gone.  Well, there's the rub, that aren't exactly gone, just horizontal, or snapped off at the worst possible places.  The fire department had to cut at least a half-dozen trees that were blocking our driveway, and the utility company is scalping the rest.  My sick sawyer skills resulted in my freshly tuned and sharpened saw lasting about 10 minutes before I killed it.  I was thinking that I'd need a bigger saw, but given that once these are cleaned up, I won't have anything left to cut.........
Everyone's OK, and I've learned a lot about how electric lines are repaired.
This is a tree, stuck in another tree.

More pictures will follow.  I haven't been through all of the cards, but, idiot that I am, I was out on the back porch shooting what appeared to be plain old clouds, when I noticed that large chunks of normally earth-bound stuff was now airborne, which I took to be a "clue" that things were going to get really interesting, really fast.
I'm still looking for the rest of the hood

Those were straight on Thursday morning
