Contact Information

NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

More Scenes From Armagedappalachia

It doesn't get more ironic than that.

A couple interesting factoids:
  • If it looks like your house should have been destroyed, the cable guys will assume that it was destroyed, and cut off your service.
  • I'm not sure which is worse: having a 100 mph wind blow over your house, or having four 100 mph industrial size ventilators running in your house to dry it out.  It's like living in the engine nacelle of a DC10.
  • When you get really, really tired, you start to hallucinate bucket trucks that aren't really there.
  • Chainsaws are a short-term cure for tinnitus, but it comes back.
  • My new mancave is an actual cave - the rootball on one of our trees left a snug mud shelter the size of a VW microbus.  I'm gonna make a bark loincloth and go all paleo.
