Contact Information

NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

Skill Set: Back-up Weapons : The Tactical Wire

Skill Set: Back-up Weapons : The Tactical Wire

Does anyone actually go to work carrying just one pen?  Issues with BUGs date back to the bad old days of throwdown guns, but by now they should be the norm.  Where you carry is another issue.  Due to orthopedic issues, I don't like ankle rigs, generally dislike hanging things around my neck, and have been told I have too much stuff in my pockets.  Now that I have more linear feet of belt than I did 20 years ago, I'm starting to accumulate reactionary side holsters.  Not having been in uniform for even longer, I'm guessing that some of the rigs that attach to armor carriers would be my best bet.  In plain clothes, there are plenty of compacts that can easily take the place of a third magazine, or second spare mag, however you look at it.
