Contact Information

NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

Tuberculosis Outbreaks Spark New Worries

When I first moved to scenic SE Ohio a number of years ago, my doc pushed regular TB screening, as it still percolated in impoverished areas, particularly those without access to health care, other than a pre-booking screening.  (Side note: apparently a lot of facilities have stopped testing new inmates and guests due to a shortage of serum).  I also don't know exactly how valid it is, but she mentioned that one of our best defenses was our stress-out stomachs, full of acid that would kill the bacteria.  TB is still on the list of not-uncommon crime scene pathogens.

After a trip thru some of the year-'round haunted house full of slime and gore that you'll travel through in your jobs, you'll also develop the skill to hold your breath for 3 hours while you do interviews, speaking without actually ever inhaling.
