In Brunswick and Glynn County Georgia, Public Questions Who Polices Police Officers
...and then there's the FLETC. Now I'm sure that basic, entry level students behave, ie have detail instructors to babysit and bedcheck them and beat them into submission as needed, but considering that there are strip clubs advertising to Center students, and knowing how cops with some years on behave when out of town, I'll bet that some have gone all Cartagena up in there and spent a few hours in the Glynn Co. sobriety reattainment module/drunk tank, only to be bailed out by their overhead and having a brief, terse conversation with their new friends from their agency's Inspector General's office, after which they will receive empty copy paper boxes and packing tape as a parting gift.
No worries on my account - I'll spend any free time in my hotel room with the AC cranked to "Morgue" seeing if I can get the entire outside window to condense up. And by the time I get used to that signature coastal lowlands smell, which must be something like swamp gas, rotting vegetation and alligator poop, with a little Chillicothe paper mill mixed in, it will be time to go home.
Contact Information
NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.
I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.
My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.
