Contact Information

NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

New Less-Lethal Research

This is a cut-and-paste from an email from the National Institute of Justice, if the links don't copy you'll just have to go to the NIJ/NCJRS website and ferret out the reports yourself:

"Through the National Criminal Justice Reference Service, NIJ has made available the following final technical reports:
    * Establishment of Interdisciplinary Working Group for Review of Kinetic Energy Munitions (pdf, 28 pages)
    * Respiratory and Cardiovascular Response During Electronic Control Device (ECD) Exposure in Law Enforcement Trainees (pdf, 33 pages)
    * Test Methodologies for the Assessment of Less-Lethal Kinetic Energy Rounds (pdf, 38 pages)
    * The Effect of TASER on Cardiac, Respiratory and Metabolic Physiology in Human Subjects (pdf, 29 pages)
    * Development of Standard for Less-lethal Kinetic Energy Rounds (pdf, 7 pages)
    * Enhanced Ergonomic Model of Repeating RAP Launcher With Tech-Data Package (pdf, 11 pages)"
