I try to keep the shilling to a minimum and generally avoid recommending specific brands or items, but will make an exception in this case as this company has provided me with excellent products and service, and are offering a price cut that will benefit both broke Academy students and others. I have and use the ICE series routinely. The ICE series is also available in the smaller NARO series for smaller-faced humans - I'd frequently stick them on the Princess of Power when she would visit the range.
I'm cutting and pasting the instructions, cause I don't know the Facebook thing well enough to be certain that I wouldn't wind up accidentally connecting with NAMBLA or inadvertently getting engaged to a Khazakstani mail order bride:
"1. Like ESS Eye Pro on http://facebook.com/esseyepro.
2. Once a fan you will see the 30% off VIP code on our Facebook "IMPACT" Tab.
3. Use this code on www.esseyepro.com for 30% off all* products. Be sure to hurry, this code is only valid until December 24th! Don't have a Facebook account, or don't want one? Email us at ess@esseyepro.com with the subject line "Facebook Holiday Promo Offer" and we'll email you a 30% savings code."

Getting the kits that include 2 pairs of actual glasses is really the way to go if you can afford it. "Interchangeable" lenses generally aren't, at least for me; typically I wind up either breaking something or having a lens held in with tape. It is FAR easier in the field to just swap glasses instead of fumbling with lenses. You will ALWAYS need a pair of clear eyepro anyway, for use at night or indoors.
If the prices seem high to begin with, they aren't at all. Particularly when compared to training, feeding and providing vet care for a Labrador Retriever to lead you around by a handle for the rest of your life.
Contact Information
NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.
I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.
My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.
