NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

Uncut: Indianapolis Officer Surrenders after Standoff - News - LawOfficer.com

Not exactly the most stellar arrest techniques I've seen, but I suppose it beats running across the field and pig-piling the guy. For all the use they got out of the armored vehicle, they might as well have used an Econoline, but then the one guy couldn't had laid his AR on the fender and walked away. I wonder how long it took him to realize somebody had glommed onto his rifle, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that the other officer told him that he'd secure it.

I suppose though, that if the guy had flipped and started shooting, the rounds would have been contained in the rig, which would protect the neighborhood from everyone but the SWATters, but which sucks if you are the guy in the hatch - they'd be incoming at about ball height.
