NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

Number of police officers killed in line of duty spikes in 2011 - CNN.com

Bill's Note: Over the past year, and slightly beyond, I've qualitatively noticed what might be an increase in "ambush" type killings, presaged by the murder of 4 coppers in Lakewood WA in late 2009, and most lately in the apparently random killing of an officer at Virginia Tech. I don't see the Occupy movement as a precursor to the collapse of society, instead it seems more of a order-maintenance pain in the ass and an excellent opportunity for cell phone videography of police conduct, good or bad. Of course, "good" is in the eye of the beholder, and editor, so now more than ever it's important to remember our role on the great stage of street theater. They may have their bullets-over-ballots types and nit-wit anarchist wannabees, but they don't seem intent on killing cops.
