NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

Former Border Patrol agent speaks of dangers along boundary | The Sierra Vista Herald
While it isn't "good," he doesn't offer a lot of evidence, and extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Trans border conflicts have been occurring since maybe the 1500s, and to read the stories of the first settlers all the way up to the exploits of the Punitive Expedition and the adventures of the 30's, 40's and 50's BP agents (Charlie Askins springs to mind, though I hope he was embellishing) would have you think that the Rio Grande was one big stream of blood.

Yeah, there is a political agenda here. Senator McClain withdrew his claim that wildfires had been started by illegals, though it is entirely possible that they were, even though no self respecting border crosser will start a fire that would immediately trip every thermal sensor around, and be visible on FLIR for miles. There are more agents, and more technology of higher sophistication than any of the time along our borders. And the return on investment, and return on expectations has been what, exactly?

What percentage of homicides in Santa Cruz County and Cochise County are directly attributable to border crossers, versus those resulting from domestics and DUIs?
