NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

SIG-Sauer P290

I was underwhelmed with the P250, particularly when compared head to head with the Smith & Wesson M&P, let alone the GLOCK 19, now that GLOCK has interchangeable backstraps.  The idea of interchangeable frames seemed more of a marketing gimmick than anything; I never foresaw myself gutting my pistol between duty and off-duty carry.  With the Classic P series now available with interchangeable backstraps, I just don't see the role of the P250.  Even if the rumors about the FAMs adopting it are accurate.

This, on the other hand, may just be worth at least part of the exorbitant price SIG will no doubt tag on it.  It may be what I was trying to get with the Kel-Tec PF9.  However, if the weight is actually 20.9 ozs, it won't be able to compete against the flea-weight Smith and Ruger revolvers.  I'll take a lighter lump over a heavier slab.
