Contact Information

NRTI as we knew it is no more, and I don't know what will happen in the future. Technically, I'm still employed by the College, though am enjoying a paid hiatus, and working on everything I couldn't work on when I was spending 70 hours a week running the Program, like cleaning up from the tornado that hit, what, 7 years ago now? I'm also commissioned with a nearby county agency, actually answering to one of the more popular instructors, so I'm still trying to keep my hand in.

I'll continue to post information and news from grads and friends, and also want to keep current with LE news and references.

My College phone and e-mail are pretty much out of service, so I'll be setting up yet another account , so we can stay in touch.

And Keep Your Maulings Straight...

Every press report I've read on the recent Montana bear attacks have implied that it occurred at Yellowstone, I guess because it is the most familiar landmark to the average person.  Unless there has been a land swap, I understand that it actually occurred at the US Forest Service Soda Butte campground, which IIRC is in Gallatin National Forest.

Not that the average citizen knows the difference between a NF and a NP, but I bet that Yellowstone NP staff are getting sick of the bad press.  So, as a public service for potential visitors:

Yellowstone National Park: Go there if you want to walk up to a bison to have your picture taken and get your ass kicked.

Gallatin National Forest:  Go there if you want to sleep with open cans of sardines and peanut butter in your tent and get eaten by a bear.
