Battling the Board
".......Erickson ends this May 27 e-mail with the following: “This has been, without question, the most difficult year in my 32 years as an educator. Had I understood the full extent of the avarice and resistance I would face, I would never have placed my wife or myself in this position. Almost all critical functions of the college were either dysfunctional, understaffed or completely missing when I arrived last June. The vicious feudalism that had been allowed to flourish over many years had left a wide shadow of despair across the institution. In such an environment, no chief executive officer can survive without board support. Frankly, such signs of support have been few and far between. Indeed, even my own interview was attended by only five members of the nine-person board.”
All this regime change has lacked has been open looting, fires and UN peacekeepers.
